Race Lineups
Super Late Model
Will be based on 2013 Southern Super Series lineup procedures, except Alabama 200 which is TBD.
Pro Late Models
Pro Late Models will use a (2) lap time trial qualification
in all events. The maximum starting field is 32 cars. If more than 32
cars attempt to make the race, the field will be set as follows.
Positions 1-30 will be locked in from time trials
Positions 31 & 32 will be awarded to the top two finishers in a 15
lap last chance race.
*The fastest qualifier will roll a die for inversion, regardless of the size of the field. The die will be a standard 1-6 die.
*In the event time trials are rained out, or otherwise cancelled, the lineup will be set on FIRST practice lap times.
LOCAL DIVISIONS
All divisions will start based a random draw, unless
that division is scheduled to qualify for the event. At each racing
event, 1-3 divisions will qualify. Every division will get the chance to
qualify at least (2) times during the 2013 season.
If qualifying: The fastest qualifier will roll the die for inversion. The die will be a standard 1-6 die. The winner from the previous feature can start no better than 6th position. If their qualifying effort, after the inversion, would put them higher than 6th, they will be moved to 6th and the rest of the field adjusted accordingly.
If starting on draw: The winner from the previous feature can start no better than 6th position. If their draw would put them higher than 6th, they will be moved to 6th and the rest of the field adjusted accordingly.
*Remember... qualifying and heat points are awarded for ALL divisions in 2013.
In the event your division is running heat races, the heat race lineups will be according to draw (no winner penalty applied). Feature lineup will be based on heat results, with the heat winner(s) rolling for inversion. The winner from the previous feature can start no better than 6th position. If their qualifying effort, after the inversion, would put them higher than 6th, they will be moved to 6th and the rest of the field adjusted accordingly.
*For all local points races, the winner of the previous feature may start no better than 6th. If you miss the first race following a victory, you may start no better than 7th at your next race.
